Questions

What is a crew map?

The one-page map that goes out with the call sheet so the crew can find a location: directions from the studio, where to park, where basecamp and the trucks are, the nearest ER and who to call. Productions usually need one per location, and often a few versions of it.

What do the map versions mean?

Crew is the standard map for the shooting crew. Prep/Strike covers the days before and after, when parking and gates often differ. Transpo is for drivers, with truck routes and staging. VIP and Cast route to the talent entrance or basecamp. Move is a company move from one location to the next. Tick every version you need; they come back as separate pages.

How fast do I get it back?

Same day, and usually within the hour during the working day. Put the time you need it by in the form and it is handled in that order.

Where do the maps cover?

Anywhere in the United States. The nearest emergency room is checked before the map goes out, with a direct ER phone number where the hospital publishes one.

How do I get it, and how do I pay?

The finished PDF is emailed to the address you give above, ready to attach to the call sheet or print. Billing is per map, invoiced to the production. Ask about a flat per-episode or per-month rate for a series.
